Trying to teach...

Hi people! Here I am again... Now I want to tell you something very cool... I'm trying to teach some friends of mine! Well, it's not easy but the most important thing happened... They're very interesting! I don't think I'm able to be a good teacher, but I believe that eveything gets better when we pratice. Most of my "students" can't understand English, one of the reasons is the way that teachers are teaching English. The teachers only ask the students to translate texts and they tell "something" about verb "to be". I realized that students hate these things and I'm trying to teach them the basic, or, at least, everything that I know. I have about 8 students, but this number can change, because are more people interested. I have some problems, I don't know if the material will be enough, I need to have a blackboard etc. I think I'll try to use a real school, next to my house, like a volunteer ( Escola da Família) and maybe, teach better...

A good site to pratice our English...

Hi people! I was searching for exercises to learn, to pratice and I found this one above! There are exercises for any level and it's not boring... There are crosswords puzzles with irregular verbs, I think this can help a lot people who have difficulties about it. Go check it!

Watching a movie

It's very nice to watch a dvd first with portuguese subtitles ( for people who can't read and hear all in English yet) and then watch it again with english subtitles. Believe me, you can learn a lot with that. I have been doing that and I think this can help me to undertand better the meaning of some words which I don't know yet! It's better to choose movies with less slangs, at least in the beggining, because these kind of words aren't the most important to learn, and I know, it's easier to memorize these kind of words than useful words ...
